Who runs this site
Medical 3D Parts (medical3dparts.com) is published by The Spool List Ltd, which runs The Spool List, a peer-to-peer fabrication marketplace. Buyers post jobs for free, independent makers send quotes, and the buyer chooses one. The Spool List is a facilitator: the contract for a model is between you and the maker.

How this site makes money
The buttons on this site lead to The Spool List. Posting a job is free and buyers pay no platform fee on top of a maker's quote. The Spool List earns a commission from makers on completed orders. No maker, manufacturer or clinic pays to appear on this site.
How we check facts
Every rule or figure on this site comes from a named source, linked on the page that uses it, with the date we checked it. The pages are not medical, dental or legal advice. Rules differ by country and change; check the official text.
We don't publish reviews, testimonials or case studies here. Pages are written and maintained by The Spool List Ltd with the help of AI tools, and every statement is checked against the cited source before publishing.
Privacy
This site has no accounts and no visitor database. The post form builds a link to The Spool List with your answers in the address, and you finish posting there. Never put a patient's name, scans or health details in a job post.
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and clicks. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, analytics storage is denied by default through Google Consent Mode.
Not medical advice. Not medical devices.
medical3dparts.com is run by The Spool List, a marketplace where independent makers quote on 3D printing jobs. Makers are hobbyists and small workshops. They are not registered medical device manufacturers or dental laboratories, and The Spool List is not one either.
Whether something is a medical device depends on what it is made and sold for (US FD&C Act §201(h); EU Regulation 2017/745 Art. 2; UK MHRA guidance). So we only accept jobs for models and accessories with no medical purpose: anatomy and dental models for teaching and display, typodonts and practice teeth for students, models that help explain a procedure in general terms, prototypes not for patient use, and organisers and holders that never touch a patient.
We do not accept jobs for dentures, crowns, bridges, veneers, aligners, retainers, night or mouth guards, implants, surgical instruments or guides, prosthetics, orthotics, splints, replacement parts for medical equipment, anything sterile, anything that goes in the mouth or body, or models made from a patient's scans for diagnosis or treatment planning. In the US, UK and EU these are regulated, and dental appliances are made by registered labs to a dentist's prescription.
A printed part is not 'biocompatible' because of the resin used: biocompatibility depends on a validated process, and resin makers say so themselves. Printed plastics like PLA can deform in an autoclave. Do not put any part bought here in your mouth or body or use it in a clinical procedure.
This site is general information, not medical, dental or legal advice. If you need treatment, talk to a qualified professional. Payment is held by The Spool List until you confirm delivery.
